After spending more than a decade in corporate property management, Jessica Maidl saw firsthand how rigid structures and layered decision-making often failed to serve local investors. KabSkye was created to offer something different: direct access, flexible execution, and accountability at every level. Our firm combines disciplined financial oversight with proactive tenant relationships and strategic capital planning, helping owners maximize value while minimizing stress.
The Story
Behind the Name
KabSkye Investments takes its name from Lake Kabetogama, part of Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota. It is a place where founder Jessica Maidl grew up and continues to spend time today.
For Jessica, the lake represents more than a meaningful location. It reflects the values that shaped both her perspective and the foundation of the business: clarity, resilience, stewardship, and respect for the communities and environments we are responsible for.
Time spent on the water and outdoors instilled an appreciation for long-term thinking, preservation, and intentional care. Those same principles guide KabSkye's approach to property and asset management. Just as Lake Kabetogama is carefully protected for future generations, KabSkye is committed to protecting and enhancing the long-term value of every asset it manages.
The name serves as a quiet reminder that strong foundations, thoughtful oversight, and a connection to something bigger matter, both in business and beyond.
